Fine Dining Restaurant Anna Amalia
Culinary Delicacies in Weimar
Welcome to the gourmet restaurant Anna Amalia - a place of the finest culinary delight. This restaurant has satisfied guests from the city and beyond for many years. Anna Amalia has carried its Michelin star for years, and with good reason. In a discreet, luxurious ambience our Head Chef Marcello Fabbri conjures up explosions of flavour in Mediterranean cuisine. Located at Hotel Elephant, our restaurant is particularly appealing on warm summer evenings, for the large doors then open up to our cosy garden with its idyllic terrace, and the culinary delicacies can be enjoyed under the starry sky. The German princess
and name giver of the restaurant, Anna Amalia of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel was born in October 1739 and transformed the area where she was living into the most influential cultural centre of Germany. As duchess of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, she brought many famous poets, artists and composers to Weimar like Johann Wolfgang von Goethe or Friedrich Schiller. So it came that Anna Amalia was honoured in Goethe's work. As practised back in the days, when Anna Amalia invited to baronial meals at her princely residence, we nowadays welcome our guests to fine dining Restaurant Anna Amalia.
Please be aware that the restaurant will be closed during extensive renovation measures from 02 January 2018 until Fall 2018.
